本片由朱延平监制，傅立导演，号称是《七匹狼》系列电影。全片由几个高中生在暑假期间互相配对谈恋爱，加上一些血气方刚的青年打架追逐，一些虚有其表的人生感怀，和一些只能让台湾年轻人共鸣的逗笑点子，如此轻轻松松拍下来，就足够让要求不高的学生观众娱乐个九十分钟，因此，抱着太严肃的心情来观赏这类电影，只会自讨苦吃。尽管如此，内容还是单薄了一点，场面气氛的处理也不及《七匹狼》那样圆顺流畅，而且为了针对卖座点，导演甚至在影片中段穿插了一首由青春偶像歌星张雨生亲自主唱的主题曲，只见众人聚沙滩上互相嬉闹，像开嘉年华会。这种好像在叫观众“不必认真”的创作态度，还出现在片头的一些学生访问片段，导演拍戏的态度既然如此开玩笑，也就难怪这类电影老是停留在让人觉得开玩笑的层次上了。
